The September issue of Classic Rock magazine includes a short interview with Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons on the upcoming studio album. According to Paul, the 10 track album will be Sonic Boom on steroids, and Gene states "This new record feels heavier than Sonic Boom. With the news of original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley putting out his memoir this coming November, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons are planning a KISS memoir for next year x96 whereas original KISS drummer Peter Criss also has plans to put out his memoir in 2012. The KISS memoir, to be titled Nothing To Lose, will focus on the bandx92s formative years (from the birth in 1973 uptill 1975 when KISSx92 breakthrough album Alive! saw the light of day) and is scheduled for Summer of 2012. The oral history of the groupx92s early years will be written by Ken Sharp and is to include interviews with all original four KISS members, as well as other rockers. And of course, it will include never before published photos.
The fourth installment in KISS' historical DVD series KISSology is currently in the making, and scheduled for a late November release. KISSology – Vol. 4 is to include footage from the band's 2011 Summer tour. The DVD box will include five discs (one of which a bonus disc) in the first, limited edition. Unlike the previous three boxes, the new one won't feature a specific period/decade in the band's history in pretty much chronological order but will consist of footage from throughout the group's career.
Congratulations to Paul Stanley, who became a father for the fourth time on Tuesday (August 9). Emily Grace Stanley is his third child with his wife Erin, who is also the mother of his other daughter Sarah Brianna (2 years old) and his son Colin Michael (4 years old). 17 year old Evan Shane is his son from his previous marriage with Pamela Bowen.

Paul Stanley will be one of the special celebrity guest stars on the second season of VH1x92s Rock x91nx92 Roll Fantasy Camp (the new season premieres on Saturday, August 20). On the TV show, a group of unknown musicians has to compete to see if they can make it in the music business with the help of camp counselors Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum (both ex Guns x91N Roses) along with guest stars such as Paul, as mentioned above, and Sammy Hagar who will share their tips on making it. Each week, each of the five contestants has to perform in front of a group of rock star judges. And as a final test, the band voted best by the fans will win the opportunity to perform with Sammy Hagar.
The season finale of Gene Simmons Family Jewels, on which Gene proposed to his longtime girlfriend Shannon Tweed, was seen by some 3 million viewers. Which makes it not just the best watched episode in the history of the hit series (the longest running celebrity family reality show), but itx92s also a record for A & E, making it the network the number 1 cable network that night among adults 25-54 demographics in the 10pm hour category.
Shannonx92s answer to Genex92s proposal will be revealed next season, which kicks off on September 6 in the States. But meanwhile, rumor has it that the couple is breaking up. While Genex92s proposal was filmed months ago, itx92s been rumored for some time now that Shannon and Gene are no longer living together, and apparantly she even left a TV show in the middle of a live interview during a promotional tour for Gene Simmons Family Jewels not too long ago. Former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley is set to put out his autobiography on November 1. The "Rock and Roll memoir" titled No Regrets had originally been scheduled for this Summer and is said to be "a funny, truthful, candid memoir about a hard-drinking, drug-addicted, music-loving guitar player who lived life as a rock star and survived to tell the tale". The book, written by Joe Layden and John Ostrosky, is to be published by Gallery Books, an imprint of the London based Simon & Schuster, under the VH1 Books imprint.
No Regrets goes behind the make-up, the money, the women and the partying. KISS' original guitarist recounts his battles with drug addiction and his brushes with death, sets the record straight about his complicated relationships with Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley and describes his evolution as a musician. All with his characteristic humor and honesty. Needless to say, Ace Frehley's autobiography is a must-have for every KISS fan.
Looks like Gene Simmons finally will marry his longtime girlfriend Shannon Tweedx85 or at least he proposed to her in front of a Gene Simmons Family Jewels camera. The episode of his socalled reality show in which The Demon proposes airs today in the USA.
